Our smallest and simplest USB MIDI interface, USB Uno offers basic 1 x 1 operation and bus-powered mobility—and even comes with it’s own built-in USB and MIDI cables. What could be simpler?
Overview MIDI is the acronym for “Musical Instrument Digital Interface” and is the protocol used by MIDI keyboards and other devices (sound modules, sequencing software, virtual instruments, etc.) to communicate with each other.
Uno provides your computer with one MIDI input and one MIDI output port, each supporting 16 MIDI channels.
Size: 3.5” x 0.875” x 1.8” (width x height x depth) x 116” (cable);
Perfect for connecting a keyboard or controller to your computer
Installation is external, so no need to open the computer case
Powered by USB port, so no searching for a free power outlet
Upward Mobility - add as many USB Midisport interfaces to your computer as you have USB ports
MAudio MS24 Midisport 2x4 with USB (Macintosh and Windows)
The USB Midisport 2x4 is a compact bus-powered, multi-port MIDI interface for USB-equipped PC and Mac computers that's perfect for laptop music-making. The unit's 2 x 4 architecture also lets you go beyond the MIDI spec's limit of 16 channels. Two separate 16-channel input ports allow your system to accept up to 32 discrete MIDI input channels. And four individual 16-channel output ports allow you to address up to 64 discrete MIDI output channels.
USB Midisport 2x4's high-speed USB connection to the computer assures reliable, immediate MIDI transfers. Installation is a breeze -- no computer disassembly, no jumpers to set, no I/O addresses, IRQ's or DMA channels to configure. Expansion is just as easy -- just plug additional USB Midisport units into your computer for more MIDI ports. Features:
2-in/4-out MIDI interface
Accepts up to 32 discrete MIDI input channels
Addresses up to 64 discrete MIDI output channels
Expands easily by combining MIDISPORT interfaces
High-speed connection to USB-equipped PC or Mac computers
MIDI activity indicators for each port
Bus-powered -- requires no external power supply
Includes 6 ft. USB cable
Windows compatible -- true Plug-and-Play installation requires no IRQ, I/O Address or DMA channel setup
Includes Mac OMS drivers for OS 9.x
Compact and lightweight for mobile or desktop us
Power derived from USB bus
The professional MIDI interface for your home studio: FastLane is a simple 2 input, 2 output, 32-MIDI channel interface for Macintosh and Windows. It installs in seconds and opens your computer to a world of music software. FastLane's advantage: a MIDI thru button allows you to play to your gear even when your computer is turned off-without having to disconnect cables. FastLane takes full advantage of USB, giving you increased MIDI throughput, better timing accuracy, support for "hot-swapping" and plug-and-play expansion. Need to connect another sound module or synth? No problem. Just add another FastLane via a standard USB hub. You can even mix and match FastLane with other multi-port USB interfaces.
The MIDI Solutions Merger is a 2-in 1-out MIDI Merger. All MIDI messages appearing at the two inputs are merged to the output (including System Exclusive and MIDI Time Code messages). A fast merging algorithm ensures that the MIDI data is processed with minimal delay. The Merger is MIDI-powered, and requires no batteries or power supply to operate with most products (see FAQs - Power for more information). A MIDI indicator LED lights up when the product is powered and flashes when MIDI data passes through it. MIDI Solutions Mergers allow you to connect multiple MIDI Outs or Thrus to a single MIDI In. For example, if you are using a few MIDI keyboards and need to connect them to a sound module with a single MIDI input, a merger can be used to merge the keyboards' outputs to that input. Mergers can also be used to merge System Exclusive data from sound modules back to computers running editor/librarian applications. This enables you to free up inputs of your MIDI interface which otherwise would have been used by the individual outputs of each sound module. Another novel application for mergers is expanding the merging capabilities of MIDI patchbays that allow merging of only two MIDI inputs at a time. By connecting a patchbay's outputs to a merger and then looping the output of the merger back into the patchbay, you can effectively add more merging capabilities to the patchbay. The outboard merger can be thought of as in additional processor that is accessed simply by changing the patchbay's routing configuration.
An easy-to-use product that requires no programming, the MIDI Solutions Quadra Merge merges all messages appearing at any of its 4 inputs to its output. Requires no batteries or power supply to operate.
The one-in 4-out MIDI thru box from MIDI Solutions sends all messages from the input to all 4 outputs. Active circuitry cleans up any skewing of MIDI data bits occurring at the input, ensuring reliable operation in setups that require daisy-chaining or long cable runs. The MIDI Solutions Quadra Thru is MIDI-powered and requires no batteries or power supply. A MIDI indicator LED lights up when powered, and flashes as MIDI data passes through.. Partial list products that have been reported NOT to provide power to the MIDI Solutions products: Alesis DM10, ControlPad, Micron, Q and QX series keyboards, SamplePad, SR18, Trigger|iO, USB-MIDI Cable, Vortex, Arturia BeatStep, Minibrute SE, Boss FC-50, GT-5, GT-8, GT-10, GT-100, GT-Pro, RC-50, RC-300, Dave Smith Instruments Mono Evolver Keyboard, Mopho x4, Prophet '08, Tempest, Tetra, Edirol UM-1 and UM-2 USB MIDI Interfaces, UA-25, Elektron Machinedrum MK1, Monomachine MK1, Focusrite Saffire, Scarlett, M-Audio Axiom Pro 61, Midisport 1x1, 2x2, 4x4 USB MIDI Interfaces, Oxygen 25, ProKeys Sono 88, Radium, Native Instruments Komplete Audio 6, Maschine MK2, Traktor Audio 10, Studiologic MP-113, MP-117, Numa Nano, Numa Nero, TMK 88, Yamaha 01X, AW2400, EZ-TP, GT1, GT2, i-MX1, KX8, KX61, MOX8, MOXF8, MX49, MX61, NP-30, NP-31, P Series keyboards, PSR275, Tyros5-76, WX7
The MIDI Solutions Thru is a 1-in 2-out MIDI Thru Box. All MIDI messages appearing at the input are sent to both Thru outputs. Active circuitry cleans up any skewing of MIDI data bits that has occurred at the input, insuring reliable operation in setups that require daisy chaining or long cable runs.
The MIDI Solutions R8 8-output MIDI-Controlled Relay Array provides eight contact closures which can be programmed to open or close in response to MIDI events. Event types are programmable and include Note, Control Change, Program Change, and System Exclusive messages (up to 20 bytes/System Exclusive message). All settings are retained even after power is removed from the unit. Fast reed relays are used for a response time of less than 2ms. Relay contacts are rated at 0.5A. Contacts are made available via connections to the tip and sleeve of 1/4 inch mono phone jacks.
The MIDI Solutions M8 8-input MIDI Merger is an 8-in 1-out MIDI Merger. All MIDI messages appearing at any of the eight inputs are merged to the output. All MIDI data types are merged, including System Exclusive and MIDI Time Code. A fast merging algorithm insures that MIDI data is processed with minimal delay.
